I pre-commited, but I don’t see those bonus cards or the standee. Where are they?
If you signed up in the pre-commit and then backed the Kickstarter with the same email address your Hangyodon card, standee, and score token will be automatically added when the pledge manager goes live after the Kickstarter ends. You will see them as part of your pledge there.

I backed in the first 48 hours, how do I get my free Friendship 48 RETAIL game?
If you pledged within the first 48 hours of the campaign (ending on 11:59pm PST on September 28), just maintain a pledge at or above $30 throughout the whole campaign and your Friendship 48 RETAIL game will appear in your pledge manager page when our pledge manager goes live.

How do I back two of a certain tier?
This is a limitation of Kickstarter, you can only pledge once per account. We’ve tried to add most items to the Add-on section, which is available after you back a tier in Kickstarter and will be available for purchase in the pledge manager again after the campaign is over. Please do not back the game with multiple accounts, it ends up getting confusing for everyone, we promise that you’ll be able to get every tier you want in the pledge manager, at the same price.

What if I don’t have the money to back now?
That’s okay! We appreciate your early support regardless and we will open pre-orders in our pledge manager later this year after the Kickstarter ends. That being said, The pledge manager also allows you to move up from one tier to another, so if you back at a lower tier now, you can bump up to a higher tier later. You’ll be charged two smaller amounts this way, once at the end of the Kickstarter and once in the pledge manager.

Is the shipping cost included in the price of the game or during the Kickstarter?
Shipping and duties/taxes/VAT will be charged through our pledge manager after the campaign ends. There is a shipping table on the campaign page where you can see estimates of shipping costs. Duties/taxes/VAT are dependent on where you live, so we do not include estimates of those.

I read that EU VAT is not included in the price, is that correct?
In compliance with current EU and UK laws, VAT must be charged after the campaign closes, so we have estimated these costs by country as best as possible based on the total price of the order. European countries outside of the EU will not be charged VAT and may have costs due upon delivery. We have done everything possible to keep these extra costs low, and want to make sure there are no surprises.

Our shipping estimates are provided to us by our numerous fulfillment hubs across the world. We do not make money on the shipping costs and are focused on being transparent so there are no surprises in the Backerkit.

Why are shipping costs to Canada so high?
We do our best to estimate what shipping costs will be when we ship. We partner with our fulfillment centers to come up with the exact costs per region. In Canada specifically, our fulfillment partner has already added in the customs fees for these packages, as opposed to all other regions, making shipping costs more expensive.

I plan on moving before the game ships, can I update my address once Kickstarter or the pledge manager closes?
Yes, you’ll enter your address in the pledge manager, keep the email with your unique pledge manager link and you’ll be able to re-enter and change your address and other options at any point until we lock addresses. We’ll send updates as that date approaches.

I need to change my pledge level, how do I do this?
Click “Manage My Pledge,” and then “Edit Pledge.” This will let you change your tier as needed. It will also let you add bonus support if you’d like to put money toward add-ons or shipping. After the campaign is over, our pledge manager will allow you to change tier levels.

Can I use iCloud Private Relay (Apple Relay) to back?
If you use Apple Relay to back, you will not receive your pledge manager email when the time comes to enter your shipping info and grab add-ons in our pledge manager. We recommend not using Apple Relay. If you do back using an Apple Relay, please wait until we send an update about the pledge manager emails going out and then contact us at https://maestromedia.com/pages/contactus and provide us with a different email so we may change it and send you your pledge manager login invite.

Will Stretch Goals be included in Add-ons in the pledge manager?
If you backed during the live Kickstarter (September 26-Octomber 26, 2023), the same stretch goals that are unlocked for the box in the tier itself will be included in the Add-on in our pledge manager. If you found the project after the end of the live Kickstarter, please check the listing for the specific item or tier you’d like to see what is included. This can be seen in the pre-order page.

When will my items ship?
Our current shipping estimate is September 2024. That being said, timelines can be fluid. While we intend to ship September 2024, we will be highly communicative throughout the manufacturing and shipping process for the game. If our shipping estimate changes at any time throughout these processes we will notify you via a Kickstarter update.

Will I owe anything on delivery?
Due to the wide variety of costs, taxes, duties, and other fees charged by each country we are unable to charge for these fees upfront except in the US, CA, EU, and UK. If you live outside of these areas you may have fees due upon delivery of the game.

We have! In 2021, we paired with Edmund McMillen to Kickstart the 6th most popular board game Kickstarter of all time and the 17th most popular Kickstarter (at the time)! The Binding of Isaac Four Souls: Requiem was an expansion to the original Four Souls Kickstarter we paired with Edmund McMillen on in 2018. We paired with Edmund McMillen again for another seven-figure Kickstarter project back in 2020 with the Tapeworm Kickstarter! And we partnered with Alex Clark and Zach Craley on the whimsical and ridiculous Sugar Heist in 2020! And earlier this year we partnered with Portable Moose to launch the incredible Sally Face: Strange Nightmares from this account!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
